Registration Terms
Academic Advisor- A staff member who guides students through registering for classes and making important academic decisions.
Anchor 1
Add/Drop Date- A period at the begging of each semester where a student can decide to add or drop courses without a penalty.

Commencement- A ceremony in which degrees or diplomas are given to graduating students.

Electives- Courses that students choose to take from a list of offerings to fulfill their general education requirements.

Major- The primary focus of study in a 4-year degree.

Minor- A secondary focus of study typically earned along major.
Anchor 7
Registration- The period during which a student can sign up for classes they wish to take in the following semester.

Pass/Fail- A class in which no grade is given; a student simply passes or fails.

Waitlisted- An electronic process that occurs when a class is full, but student tries to register for it; it will auto-enroll students into clossed classes as seats become available.
